Enchanted Rose Garden Wedding Inspiration

From Amber Cather Photography: “When Beauty and the Beast was being released, I thought to myself that I would love to do a very rich and dreamy Disney-inspired wedding shoot. But Beauty and the Beast was never my favorite, Sleeping Beauty was. The town above where I live has a folk school with the most gorgeous grounds. One of the buildings is called the Mill House and it’s always reminded me of the cabin the 3 fairies took Aurora to. I knew I wanted to do some of the photos there. Then, a friend of mine took me to her house and showed me her rose garden. Since it was early spring, the roses weren’t blooming just yet, but it was very green and the thorns were prominent, which I thought was perfect for the second half of our shoot. The couple I chose to be my bride and groom couldn’t be a more perfect fit. Jessica literally looks like a princess and her personality is spot on, too. She and her husband, Jordan, have been together since high school and have now been married for 4 years. They are the nicest and most beautiful couple, and they are so in love with each other, it’s refreshing. For the dress and details, I wanted everything to be rich and deep in color and include a lot of textures. I focused on deep reds and blues for the tablescape and desserts and brought in velvet for Jordan’s tux and the tablecloth. Cooper’s Creek Pottery provided several pieces for the tablescape that fit beautifully with the theme. My friend’s champagne colored bunny, Chubby, couldn’t have matched Jessica’s gown and complexion more perfectly. Chubby is the sweetest bunny ever and goes to therapy to help children with sensory issues. I’m so in love with everything about this shoot. It came together even more beautiful than I had imagined it and all the people involved were wonderful.”
