Breanna and Levi celebrated their anniversary with a lovely styled shoot created by Mylyn Wood Photography. The whole concept started with a sweet little old church, complemented by vintage apparel and incredible floral designs!
An anniversary styled shoot inspired by an antique church romance in Lebanon, OR
History has always been significant. That's why you can feel a tinge of wonder when you step into an old building or a museum. I happened upon this venue by accident, an old church that was renovated into a home. The home itself is gorgeous and the architect was brilliant in his designs to let the history of the building shine. Its nooks and crannies were filled with character, decorative hinges, gothic windows and even the original flooring. Having a love for everything old and vintage, I immediately fell in love and sprung to action in putting together a styled shoot inspired by the property itself. The idea behind the theme was to capture a sense of romance in the deeply rooted history of the home. We went with a stunning vintage gown, completely covered in delicate embroidered details all the way up to the high neckline. We paired it with timeless pieces like vintage designer shoes (Stuart Weitzman), proper wristlet gloves and an antique cap and veil. The rings themselves were vintage, as well, but had a modern appeal considering they were from the 1940s. The card design was specifically selected and created to illustrate the delicacy and sweetness of earlier times. Times when you were courted, asked her father for her hand in marriage and got down on one knee to propose. The floral design was impeccably matched for the heir of the building itself. The vibrant hues and textures added luxury and drama that was literally dripping from the walls. The creative team and I were so honored to have given life back to the former church and enjoyed every moment of giving it one last hurrah as a chapel. – Mylyn
