Pryscilla and Shawn's spring wedding in Savannah was a wild and quirky adventure inspired by the colorful and offbeat work of Wes Anderson! Foto Bohemia captured their celebration, and Ivory & Beau helped make their dreams a reality! From Ivory & Beau: “The decor was inspired by the eccentricity of Wes Anderson. The ceremony arch was covered in wild, whimsical greenery and strung with colorful bunting. The arch was surrounded by an array of vintage suitcases, gold candelabras, tambourines, and other colorful vintage trinkets that were inspired by the design of movies such as Darjeeling Limited, Moonrise Kingdom, and Grand Budapest Hotel.”
A quirky Wes Anderson inspired wedding in Savannah, GA
The reception decor also embraced the wild side of Wes Anderson with an assortment of bold floral arrangements in unique vase styles ranging from bronze and amber bottles, to vintage trophy cups and terrariums. Tables were also lined with gold animal figurines, antlers, and wood slices. Vintage books and various other quirky knick-knacks were spread throughout the venue.
We used lots of vintage props that fit within the Wes Anderson theme and vibe such as my grandma's vintage bowling ball bag from the 1950s, my vintage globe and several vintage suitcases and candlestick holders sourced from flea markets and antique stores – including a vintage trunk found on the side of the road at a mom & pop shop.
The bride and groom created a funky escort card display that feels like it was straight out of Moonrise Kingdom.
