A romantic vintage wedding in Danbury, CT
Jessica, a small animal veterinarian, and Christopher, Director of Agency Business Services for the State of Oklahoma, chose to get married in their hometown of Danbury, Connecticut. They both grew up there, and their lives crossed paths many times, beginning in middle school and ending in college, when they finally started dating! After four years as a couple and a move to Oklahoma so Jessica could attend veterinary school, Chris proposed. They waited until Jessica graduated to tie the knot in a summertime traditional wedding with vintage flair, lace and handmade accents in navy blue and silver. VO Photographers captured their day!
My favorite memories of the day were: 1. Seeing my husband-to-be waiting and smiling at the end of the aisle for me; 2. Getting butterflies and getting ready with my bridesmaids, mother and mother-in-law; 3. Celebrating our first day of our new life together with our family and friends. My advice for brides planning their weddings today would be to not obsess over tiny details. The most important detail of a wedding is happy guests and that you enjoy the most important day of your life. Also, enjoy the process of planning and making the day your own. It is an exciting time of your life and it can help bring you and your husband-to-be a little bit closer by learning about each others ideas and likes/dislikes. – Jessica
