From Victoria Selman Photographer: “Kevin gazed at Courtney as she walked barefoot down the aisle in a vintage 1960s gown down the front yard of her childhood home that her dad built when he was 26. When she hugged her dad and turned around, Kevin whispered to her, ‘You’re perfect.’ Every single piece of Courtney and Kevin’s wedding was so intentionally planned, right down to the wooden ring box of collected memories from their 4 years together – handwritten notes, plane tickets, newspaper cutouts, loving cards, you name it. And literally don’t get me started about how Pickles their weiner dog (best man) ran around the yard in a blue bowtie all day. This wedding should basically be titled The Chronicles of Pickles on His Humans’ Wedding Day. Seriously these earthy, hippie wedding vibes are everything.”

  • A wood-burning firepit out back
  • Her two nephews running around all day in tuxes as the ring bearers
  • Her 1960’s vintage gown is from a vintage shop in Ellicott City, Maryland that was flooded & destroyed soon after she bought it
  • Kevin surprised her with the handmade wedding band so she didn’t see it until their vows during the ceremony
  • She got ready in her childhood home surrounded by old childhood pictures
  • Kevin is a Harry Potter fan so Courtney made the cone hanging garlands out of Harry Potter book pages & even surprised Kevin by having the officiant read the “Wedding Day” passage out of the HP book
  • She walked barefoot the whole day
  • They had wood fired pizza served all night long
  • Courtney’s sister-in-law is the amazing florist at Willow Oak Flower & Herb so she went above & beyond for these floral details
  • Courtney surprised Kevin with a gift of an Epiphone electric guitar & he surprised her with a camcorder so she could start a YouTube channel like she’s always talked about
  • The officiant is their best friend & he also played the music during the reception
  • Courtney’s mother made the wedding cake
