Mountain Palace Wedding in Portugal

After previously falling in love with the Sintra mountains in Portugal during a road trip through the length of the courtly, Nicole and David knew that they had found exactly where they would like to have their wedding. With castles and palaces everywhere you turn, colorful homes, and mossy buildings nestled into lush green gardens, they knew it'd be perfect. Nicole and David picked the Seteais for their wedding venue, a neoclassical palace that has been converted into a boutique hotel. The romantic style of the palace and the incredible views created an amazing atmosphere for their wedding.

Nicole and David used the gorgeous moss of Sintra as inspiration for the florals and palette of their wedding. Natural moss, along with fuschia, mauve, and black cherry decorated the tables. The bouquets were filled with succulents, ferns, ornamental cabbage, peonies, and calla lilies. Nicole even wore a handmade flower crown accessory. Not only were the florals beautiful, but so was the couple's attire. Nicole wore a stunning lace Berta Bridal dress paired with gold Christian Louboutins, and David wore a classic black tuxedo.

Given that they were having a destination wedding, Nicole and David decided that a travel theme would be an appropriate fit for the wedding. The couple used their favorite cities from around the world as their table names. They also put custom luggage tags around half bottles of a local Portuguese green wine which they gave out as favors. To make the wedding even more personal, Nicole had taught herself calligraphy and wrote the invitations herself. She even lined each envelope with wrapping paper too! Tying the day altogether, Nicole and David had their guests pose with props and take pictures with an Instax mini camera, filling a custom photo album that they used as a guest book.
