From A. Griffin Events: “For their 5th anniversary, Tim planned a surprise dinner for he and Asha, set up by friends at their house. To get her out of the house, Tim took Asha for a walk around their Old Town Alexandria neighborhood to a special ‘surprise destination.’ As they visited their favorite spots along the way, Tim surprised her with a gift at each location – flowers similar to the bouquet she carried on their wedding day, champagne on the front steps of the house where she lived before they were married, a kiss in the doorway where he first kissed her those many years ago. Upon returning to the house, Tim revealed an intimate table set for them to enjoy, followed by late night celebratory drinks with the friends who helped him execute his vision.” Inés Zrinski Photography captured their gorgeous anniversary celebration!

The Design
A fifth wedding anniversary must be celebrated in style. His formal tuxedo not only commemorated their wedding day but indicated that this celebration would be as special as well. Her red heels set off a chic black dress, absolutely made for twirling!
In designing this, we selected the saturated reds of the cobblestone streets of Old Town Alexandria, and the rich blues of the Potomac River, sitting just a few blocks from their house.
Effortlessly elegant champagne in vintage coupes and heirloom flatware featuring mother of pearl handles, contributed to the warm, chic, Old World feel. To create an atmosphere of relaxed luxury, the intimate bistro table, filled to the brim with fall produce, organic linens, vintage glassware and fine china. Forbidden rice spills out of a small brass bowl on the table as a reference to their wedding day.
The evening ends with another champagne toast and they meet up with friends to celebrate all over again.
