Laurel and Troy’s destination winery wedding in Napa Valley was one of the last before the horrific wildfires spread across California’s wine country last October. Luckily, most of the winery was spared from the fire, but the historic family home where Laurel go ready was unfortunately lost. From Tyler Chase Photography: “Laurel is a celebrity dating coach! So as you’d expect, she loves love and all that love symbolizes. Their color palette was a gorgeous ombre – pink to romantic red! She was serenaded by a violinist as her two year old son walked her down the petal carpet of ombre flowers. Laurel and Troy had an intimate sunset ceremony, gorgeous florals and hand-lettered menus and signs. The reception was seriously one of the most beautiful I’ve ever photographed. Everything was perfect and did I mention, Laurel planned this whole wedding in less than 6 months!”

From the Bride
We had a s’mores station surrounding a fire pit. This was where we had all of our desserts- a ombre rose covered tiered cake, an array of the most amazing small batch chocolate bars, various versions of marshmallows and graham crackers, and rose champagne of course!
We had several antique plush arm chairs and tables set up to create intimate and unexpected spaces where guests could sit and enjoy the views in comfort.
Our passed appetizers were both kid and adult friendly- like mini tomato soup with grilled cheese wedges, plus aphrodisiacs like bacon-wrapped dates and figs. It was the perfect melding of comfort and lusciousness!
There was a big wooden heart with bright twinkly lights and a hand-painted “welcome to our beginning” sign.
Instead of a traditional string band or DJ, we flew in a pop violinist who I first saw playing music surrounded by a crowd on the Santa Monica pier. He played “The Luckiest” by Ben Folds as I walked down the aisle because that’s our song and the words mirror our love: “I don’t get many things right the first time, in fact I am told that a lot… but I know all the wrong turns and stumbles and falls brought me here…. And I know that I am the luckiest.”
