DeeDee and Darius are from Atlanta but recently moved to the West Palm Beach area, which is where they spent the day of their engagement session with Dragonfly Photography! Their style is beyond chic, and the beautiful locations on Palm Beach Island made for a fabulous and tropical backdrop for their lovely portraits!

DeeDee and Darius are sweet, fun, talented people. Darius is the kind of guy that wrote (and recorded) a love song for DeeDee to try and show her how he feels towards her. Our session was inspired by a very linear look, with clean modern lines. Amazing jewelry pieces as focal points loaned from a private collection. We added floral with oranges/brown hues to compliment the bronze/gold look we had with the jewelry. We had two locations, both on Palm Beach Island. One on the very top of Worth Avenue and the other only a few blocks away. Being from California, I don’t think I’m ever going to get use to this water everywhere, everything is an island thing. It really does feel like you’re standing on the edge of the world at times.
I tell you, Palm Beach has my heart for so many reasons but it is a little bit of a never ending supply of fantastic looks and sweet little corners to grab amazing images. I have been saying it’s a really “cute” little city because it’s so tiny and yet has this amazing combination of modern architecture and beautiful historic buildings.
