A boho chic desert botanical garden engagement in Phoenix, AZ
Rocco and I have known each other practically our entire lives. Our families have been close for 30+ years, and we have already walked down the aisle together as ring bearer and flower girl.
Rocco and I started dating five years ago. Our first date was going to the movies to see The Hangover. Last 4th of July, Rocco and I had plans to go down to my family’s beach house. Rocco works in New York City and told me that he forgot his wallet at work and would need to pick it up before we headed down the shore. Instead of his office, Rocco pulled up to the Ritz Carlton and proposed to me in a breathtaking room overlooking Central Park with Andrea Bocelli playing in the background. Rocco had also hired a car service to take us all over the city for pictures and dinner overlooking Columbus Circle. It was such a special night and I was so surprised!
We planned our trip to Arizona back in February after a brutal East Coast winter. I always wanted our engagement photos to be memorable and reflect Rocco and I as a couple. We stayed at The Phoenician and enjoyed the sunshine and warm weather. We visited The Grand Canyon and Sedona, and enjoyed the local eateries of Phoenix. The best part of the trip? Visiting The Desert Botanical Garden for our photo shoot and seeing all the plants and cacti (we certainly don’t have those in New York/New Jersey)! – Nadia
