Lexie and Bryce got married in the mountains of Park City in a beautiful late summer ceremony near Red Pine Lodge at The Canyons Resort. Their 2-year-old daughter was an incredibly important part of their day; the night before the wedding, instead of doing the “traditional” thing of not seeing each other, the couple snuggled up and watched Disney movies with her! Because the venue is so naturally stunning, Lexie made sure that none of the ceremony or reception décor detracted from the setting – just luscious floral arrangements to complement it. The couple had champagne and sparkling apple cider at the bottom of the gondola for when guests arrived before the wedding and hot chocolate and tea for the gondola ride down at the end of the night. Pepper Nix Photography captured every incredible moment, from Bryce’s father presenting the bride with a hair clip that belonged to the groom’s late mother, to Lexie’s father making sure she smiled the entire way down the aisle by whispering funny comments along the way.
A chic mountain wedding in yellow and gray in Park City, UT
Bryce proposed to me in February of 2013. The two of us, along with another couple, went snowboarding at Powder Mountain Resort. It was a beautiful day – sunny, warm, blue skies and great snow. We had all commented several times throughout the day how beautiful the day was and how we needed to get some pictures. We had just gotten off the chairlift on Paradise Mountain (name of the run) and Bryce said to come to the side of the hill where there was a breathtaking view so we could get a picture. I put my board down and went over to where he was. We had our friend take a picture and as I went to walk away to get my board, Bryce told me to come back for one more picture. I found this a little odd as Bryce is not a big picture person, but I was happy he wanted more pics. I turned around and walked back over to him. We both looked out at the view and when I looked back at him to get out picture, he was down on one knee. I was shocked! He proposed and of course I said yes. By that time, we had drawn quite the crowd as we were close by the chairlift where people were getting on and off. Everyone watching began clapping and cheering. It was amazing. The part I remember most specifically is the ride down the mountain after he proposed. I was so excited, happy, elated, surprised, and every other happy emotion you could possibly imagine that I literally couldn’t stop shaking long enough to stand up on my snowboard. It took me at least 1 hour to get to the bottom of the hill and that hour seemed like 10. We went into the lodge and people were still cheering and clapping for us. Such an amazing memory. – Lexie
