Andi and Byron wanted their San Pedro wedding to reflect their playful side, and their go-to has always been the Santa Monica Pier, so they thought it would be fun to plan their reception as the Best Date Night Ever with their closest family and friends! Even though our reception went a little out of the box, it was really important to me that our ceremony be meaningful and personalized while still being respectful of the vows we were making. Towards the end our officiant asked our guests to stand, and, just as we were promising to honor and cherish each other, he asked them to vow to support us in both our times of need and times of joy. Standing there surrounded by our friends, family, and loudest cheerleaders as they promised to continue being the best support system ever was the perfect way to start our marriage. – Andi
I know Andi is a crier, so for our ceremony we chose to privately submit three things we love about each other for our officiant to read aloud instead of writing our own vows. The rest of the ceremony went by in a blur because all we could focus on was holding hands and trying to keep it together – but when our officiant got to our three things, it was amazing to hear everything we value about our relationship spoken out loud. We spent a lot of time personalizing our ceremony, but I’m really glad our three things were left as a surprise. – Byron
