Katrina and Dominic’s orchard wedding in Alabama was filled with beautiful details, fresh peaches and a color palette of navy, cream and copper! The bridesmaids wore different hues of navy blue and carried an assortment of white bouquets, while Dominic wore navy accents. The boutonnieres featured copper accents, and the tips of the succulents were hand-painted copper. Even the ceremony aisle and reception area were decorated with an assortment of white and copper! Katrina & Dominic’s wedding day was nothing short of perfection. This beautiful couple travelled all the way from New York City to celebrate their Southern roots and a beautiful new marriage. Dominic met Katrina in college during a team building exercise at band camp. Dominic played the trumpet and Katrina was on the dance line. We love when two people, who are passionate about the arts, collide. Dominic now teaches music and Katrina teaches dance in New York.
The summer sweetness was in the air as peaches ripened on the trees in the orchard. Katrina and her bridesmaids got ready in a cottage surrounded by lush trees and vines. When we arrived, we found Katrina’s wedding gown hanging alongside two additional gowns. Katrina wanted to honor the happy marriage of her parents and the marriage of Dominic’s parents by having their wedding gowns photographed with her gown.

Katrina’s contemporary dress was a showstopper. We loved how it moved when she walked and the fade from ivory to pink was so unique! Dominic’s mother loaned Katrina a set of pearls, which were an Aliffi family heirloom. Katrina also chose wedding shoes that looked like point shoes to celebrate her identity as a ballerina.
Dominic had very unique details as well. His attire truly reflected his fun personality and quirky sense of humor. One of our favorite attributes were his cuff links. Dominic’s family is Italian, so he chose to have the Italian coin for his cuff link. He also gifted all of his groomsmen with cuff links that featured their ancestral heritage. Points to Dominic!
The overall theme of their wedding was complemented with navy, yellow, and hints of copper. The atmosphere around Dominc & Katrina was filled with melodious dancing, sweet kisses, and lovingly gazes.
During the ceremony Dominic and Katrina were bathed in golden light from the sun. The altar had been draped in thick arrangements of magnolia leaves. The aisles had lush arrangements of magnolia leaves as well. Copper ribbons floated delicately in the wind. Dominic & Katrina exchanged rings using their parent’s wedding bands. Afterwards, family and close friends read sweet prayers over the couple.
The reception was greeted with the orange ambient light of a distant sunset. Guests celebrated alongside Katrina & Dominic through toasts, hugs, and laughs. The night ended with the newly wedded couple walking through an endless amount of bubbles.
