An outdoorsy autumn wedding in Wayzata, MN
You might remember Linda and Peter from their beautiful Minneapolis engagement session! Their wedding was an incredible outdoor celebration with elegant and personal details, as captured by Erin Johnson Photography. Linda and Peter bucked some traditions: they didn’t serve cake, there was no garter belt toss, and they held the first toast to welcome their guests. Linda’s “something blue” was her bejeweled shoes. They had 29 ceremony participants and 42 little ones in attendance. They danced the night away – even Linda’s 95-year-old great-grandmother – and went to the Minnesota State Fair the next day!
We live a very active lifestyle in Colorado and love the outdoors. When our preferred church was unable to host our wedding on a holiday weekend, we began to look at other options. Once we saw The Woods Chapel, there really was no point to look anywhere else. The vision came all at once – elegant, natural, a little ethereal and wild, with live string music in an outdoor ceremony. The women in our family started to joke that it could be like an enchanted forest – and then it was! We were blessed with a perfect, breezy and sunlight dappled day under the willow trees. - Linda
