Stephanie and John Michael met during a competitive game of intramural basketball. John Michael wanted to show off his mad skills to Stephanie, who was on the opposing team, only to have her school him instead! After the game, they talked and became good friends. John Michael was smitten and repeatedly asked Stephanie on a date without success. But his persistence paid off; after over a year of wooing, Stephanie and John Michael started dating and really hit it off. They are also proud alumni of North Carolina State University. He planned his surprise proposal at NCSU’s stone “parabolic reflector” chairs, where people can have a quiet conversation while seated several hundred yards apart.
